Choir Appearances

In addition to performing at folk festivals, clubs, and concert series as a solo performer, Eve Goldberg is available to perform as a special guest with community choirs and singing groups. This is an inspiring and uplifting way to integrate folk music into your choir and create a very special event that will be remembered for a long time in your community.

Although she is not a conductor, in 1999 Eve was one of the founders of Common Thread: Community Chorus of Toronto, a 70-voice, non-audition choir that sings folk music from around the world. For the first four years, of the choir, Eve served as co-artistic director of the choir. In that role, she selected music; worked with arrangers, accompanists, and special guests; and helped steer the musical direction of the choir. In addition, over the years she has led a number of musical development workshops for choir members. Until 2005, she happily sang away in the alto section, and in 2007, she was the choir’s special guest at their annual spring concert.

She has performed with the Open Voices Community Choir (Kingston, Ontario), and the Toronto City Roots Choir (Toronto, ON), as well as Common Thread. Her music has been used at community singing gatherings in various parts of Ontario, and in 2007 her song “Let Me Rise” was recorded by Open Voices Community Choir on their CD “Celebrate.”
