I'm excited to announce a new class starting in April. I am a huge fan of The Carter Family, who recorded dozens of classic songs that are still part of the folk, country, and bluegrass canon. Mother Maybelle Carter pioneered a dynamic style of playing that featured a solid rhythm for the song even when she was playing an instrumental break. I have used this style in my guitar playing for years, but in this class we'll be adapting that style for playing ukulele. We'll learn some Carter Family songs and look at how to play melodic breaks that add variety and fun to our song arrangements. You can find out more and register here.
