Practical Music Theory for Ukulele Players

november 22 - December 13 (4 weeks)

Mondays from 7:30 - 9:00 pm on Zoom

Does music theory scare you? You are not alone! Many of us struggle to understand music theory, even though we love playing music. In this class we’ll explore some practical aspects of music theory in a non-intimidating and easy-to-understand way that will help you understand more about how music works. Using familiar songs, we'll look at scales, intervals, chords, and keys, and unlock some of the mysteries of the ukulele fretboard. Join us!

You should have some playing experience and be able to play basic ukulele chords to take this class.

The class will be conducted on Zoom. Once you have paid and registered, you will receive information about how to log in each week, and those who need help accessing the technology will be offered resources and orientation to the platform.

You will be provided with song sheets and other materials for taking the course. You will need to supply your own ukulele and be able to tune it to standard C tuning.

This class is now full.  Please contact us at eve AT or the contact page if you would like to be on the waiting list.
