No Root, No Fruit is an excellent podcast created by folk radio host and musician Matt Watroba. Each episode profiles a classic folk music album and features an interview with someone who was deeply influenced by the album. Matt invited me to talk about an album that influenced me, and I chose Kate and Anna McGarrigle's self-titled debut LP. A few weeks ago, Matt and I had a wonderful, wide-ranging conversation about the album, and I'm really pleased to say that he has just released the podcast episode about it. I'm featured talking about the album and why it's still one of my favourite albums of all time. Producer Joe Boyd tells some amazing stories, and Kate and Anna's long-time collaborator and friend Chaim Tannenbaum shares some memories. I have loved every episode of this podcast and I'm thrilled to be part of it.
