Registration is OPEN for Pluck ON! - a week-long summer ukulele orchestra intensive taking place July 6 - 10 in beautiful Haliburton, Ontario.
I will be co-leading the week with my friend and colleague Brenna MacCrimmon.
This experience brings together ukulele players at all levels for a fun and educational week of playing ukulele in an ensemble. There is a part for you, whether you are an experienced ukulele ensemble player, or you have never played music from a score before.
We'll play music written on scores with standard music notation and tablature; some songs will be taught from song sheets. You'll be picking single-note melodic lines and harmony parts with some strumming, some fingerpicking and some singing. The repertoire includes a wide range of musical styles and eras including classical, folk, jazz, world, and pop.
