Fall Class Announcement!

Fall 2026 classes are starting soon! Here's a quick run-down of the classes I'm offering. You can follow the links to each class, or visit my “current classes and workshops” page for a full listing.

All classes are online except for the Ukulele Orchestra of Toronto, which is a hybrid group that welcomes in-person and virtual participants.

My Great American Songbook for Ukulele class returns September 14-- for the fourth time! I'm excited to continue mining this rich vein of beautiful songs that adapt so well to ukulele. This is always a popular class, so sign up soon. Class starts September 14.

Starting in mid-October, I'll be offering a new class I'm calling “Ukulele Song Bag.” This class is geared toward beyond-beginner players who want to improve their basic skills and get more comfortable playing and singing at the same time. The emphasis will be on learning a small number of songs, working on simple accompaniment styles, and addressing the humps that often challenge ukulele players who are just learning how to play. Join us!

In November, I'll start another new class: "Woody Uke." This is a chance to learn songs by the great Woody Guthrie, who inspired generations with his witty, pointed, and poetic songs. We'll be learning a selection of well-known and lesser-known gems using simple and effective ukulele techniques.

Ukulele Orchestra of Toronto will be meeting on Thursday nights starting on Sep 17th, with a mixture of in-person and online sessions.

And last but not least, my drop-in Online Folk Guitar Sessions start up again on Sep 8th.
